YourWings

YourWings

A Poem by Killah Cam

Silence cutting at my throat,
Engulfed in a circle of darkness,
Just needing to be wrapped in angel's wings,
Tied together with sugar crystals,
And winking like the stars in your eyes.

Fresh like water vapor,
Boiling up my heart to a steady simmer.
Powder pink flushed across my cheeks,
Taking me off my toes,
and falling fast,
Catch me,
Keep me on my toes,
Prepare me,
Send me nowhere
But closer to your arms.

Wrapped in those wings,
Extend them tall.
Intertwined,
Entangled.
Held in your wings.
Save me.
