The ending somehow reminds me of Frost "and miles to go before I sleep" with the exception that your dragon now has a full belly.
This was very entertaining.
The title, the poem, the idea, your words...are all so powerful and appropriate. They don’t say that women rule the world just for the heck of it.
Nicely written.
Since I've been sketchy at the cafe in recent months, I'm not sure about this, but I think you're returning after an absence & I'm glad to be reading you again! I was not feeling so cynical the last time I was reading you, but now I've become hugely cynical & your words bring great satisfaction. I do not want to get my mind tangled up in the S**T of life, which is why I don't write about annoying stuff very often, but it's still very satisfying when someone throws it down with verve & sass, the way you do! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
i find this to be a wonderful statement of the real strength of women that men too often forget is there.
They can only be tamed for so long, but that fire is always burning...and the wings yearning to fly.
love the sound effects in next to last stanza...made a bit queasy...

I'm very cynical, jaded, just this side of bitter and the only reason I haven't crossed that line is a good man loves me. I am extremely empathetic, but seldom sympathetic. I can be a ferociously lo.. more..
