Justice

Justice

A Poem by C. James Snyder
"

A poem on a contradictory and often ironic concept.

"

It is the hammer and the nail.

It is purple.

It is red.

It is every color of the spectrum.

Make no mistake:

It is right.

It is larger than you.

Do not question it.

Look at the courts!

It is accessible, magnanimous.

Everyone is there,

Waiting for it.

It is a silver bullet

In a black back.

It is an ocean

Of silent blue brotherhood.

It is everything

To some,

And nothing

To others.

Justice, to me, without indisputable facts is just another forfeiture scam. Justice rocks, though. Great rant. You make sense, kind of.

Great first draft. The lines" it is a silver bullet in a black back", pierced my heart. Made me shudder. Had a huge impact on me. Superb. Keep working on it, I look forward to see the revised version.
