The Ultimate PrizeA Poem by caseymichelle31Whether we know it or not, we all go through this life with one common goal: to find happiness.
Don't you wish you could control your head
Like every single action or word left unsaid If I had a power to seem what I'm not I would train myself to look happy and strong A mountain standing tall and alone Powerful. Nothing could knock me down Except for reality, just look around I thought I had found my sun in the unsettling dark Without unlimited control of the mind and the heart Time wears down the weary traveler Your life becomes "I can't" and "I'm not good enough" The screaming inside becomes unbearable Don't you wish you could control your mind? Learn to shake off your bitter taste and be more kind Erase it from your heart Just remember to forget That every single heartache Will one day lead to the path you will take The path that leads to what you search for The ultimate prize for which you yearn A feeling of true fulfillment, A reason to be happy, A reason to feel fine.
