Poems are People Too

Poems are People Too

A Poem by Casey A.
"

They really are, you know.

"

Everybody that I hear

Eventually starts to jeer

They all want poems

Sad sad poems

Poems about drinking beer

Well, all those people that I hear

HAVE BUTTHOLES IN THEIR EARS

Poems don’t want to be sad, they want to be glad!

Poems are people too!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, poems are people too

They go to work and have stuff to do

They cook themselves meals, make court appeals

Cause poems are people too

Poems like having fun

Poems do number one

Poems eat exorbitant amounts of cheese

Cause poems are people too

Poems get addicted to meth

Cause poems never learned self control mechanisms

Poems go to rehab

Get themselves back

Then start doing crack!

HEY

Poems are people too!

They do what people do

If you see a poem

Don’t act like you know em

Or he’ll surely start throwing poo

AT YOU

Poems get excited

Poems have houses

Poems own toolsets

Poems have vaginas

Poems leave bad tips

CAUSE POOOOEEEEMMMMS, ARE PEEEEEEOPLE TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

And due to the transitive property

A poem could be you!

Wow. What can I say? That was an amazing read. You have a really cohesive structure throughout the entire poem, and a nice flow as well. "Cause poems never learned self control mechanisms" doesn't really fit with the rest of the poem.
