maintain decency

maintain decency

A Poem by Casey Cody

i am in the middle ages,

going through many stages,

some are good and some are not,

i'm melting in the boiling pot,

my lips are chapped, my eyes are shot,

my skin is burning on the spot,

i'm struggling to move but i'm going down under,

i see the lightening, i hear the thunder,

you plunder my dreams,

with all your evil schemes,

i was like a star, who fell to earth,

now what am i worth?

i was worth gold now im not worth plastic,

my heart has been stretched like elastic,

keep pulling and i'll soon break,

what a cheap escape,

just let me go and set me free,

put me down and let me flee
