Ticket To Nowhere

Ticket To Nowhere

A Poem by casablancavic

I bought a ticket today
I feel like going away
Don't wanna come back again

I'm heading out past the skies
With nowhere set in my mind
Where the eagle's don't fly

I'm taking off to the moon
Won't be coming back soon
Buried deep in the dunes

I'm not packing a bag
There's no plans to be back
Even if I lose track

I'm fed up with this place
So I'm leaving for space
Got my lighter in case

I've been longing some time
Now it's finally mine
So I'm standing in line

Don't try tell me to stay
No words will make me sway
The rocket-ship's in it's bay

And my seat is now ready
Gonna hold on real steady
And watch the world melt away

Exhaust filled with fire
Soaring ever so higher
All dreams now acquired

One final look at this world
And everything in it turned
To black as it burns

Hit the switch one more time
And into darkness I climb
Emptiness so divine
