I have much that I want to tell you But I don't know here to start It's more than I can gather
It comes right from my heart
Sometimes it's just a murmur Sometimes I want to scream Sometimes when I walk past you Sometimes when I dream
I'm a little insecure I'm just a little shy There's too much to let go But I don't know why I'll say something close to nothing Cause it's the best that I can do I'll start to make a sentence But I can't follow through
I would shout it from the mountains I would scream it across the sea I would scribble it across the skyline In the hopes that you would read
My words just tend to stumble Or they make no sense I always say I'm thinking Of something else in my defense
I'm a little insecure I'm just a little shy There's too much to let go But I don't know why I'll say something close to nothing Cause it's the best that I can do I'll start to make a sentence But I can't follow through
It's just that you're so perfect And I'm not close to your league But I want to let you know To take a look at me
Because there's more than you can imagine Oh, there's more than you can tell But my words just hold me back And it's making my life hell
If you take the time Then come and take a gamble If I can form a sentence Out of these broken shambles
You would soon find out That my words are so much more What we can have now together Brings us so much to explore
I'm a little insecure I'm just a little shy There's too much to let go But I don't know why I'll say something close to nothing Cause it's the best that I can do I'll start to make a sentence But I can't follow through
I hope you understand this It might get to you somehow And if you can make sense of it Then please tell me so right now
I don't want to sound desperate But I know that it's true Because I felt it from the first moment But you don't have a clue
I'm a little insecure I'm just a little shy There's too much to let go But I don't know why I'll say something close to nothing Cause it's the best that I can do I'll start to make a sentence But I can't follow through
A piece of advice from the end of the world
in prose not like cotton or gossamer twirled
From people who've witnessed the end of all matter
With comments ridiculous, as mad as a hatter
A beautiful poem for sure and certain
A window to the soul, one lacking a curtain
Your rhymes are similar and yet different
You space them apart but I get what you meant
I enjoyed me time here, but here along
Some lines are unwieldy, too short or too long
It's hard to improve on, and I wish you the best
I can only make comments, and you do the rest
Now if you'll excuse me, I think that makes four
Four was the limit, so show me the door
If ever you're wanting for yet more correction
Feel free to come looking in my direction
Comments obscure and unreasonable sure
But sometimes vague is the best sort of cure
