what if...

what if...

A Poem by Candace

what if

you were walking down the street,

and something very odd caught your eye...

there's a man over there

whose walking on his hands!

you keep walking past

and you see a twinkle in his eye,

what's he twinkling about?

you ask yourself,

and as you walk past,

he replies with a smile,

'have you ever stopped and listened to the wind, to what it is saying? or have you ever gone down the street wearing just purple? because if you have you would know that

looking at the world from a slightly different angle will do you the world of good.'

And with another sparkling little smile,

he was gone.

And all the people walking by looked very strange indeed.

The world was so much brighter

with my feet up in the sky.

A very thought provoking little piece of writing. It's very true that a different perspective can sometimes dramatically change the world and the way it is viewed not only by ourselves but by others as well. I liked the whimsical nature of the beginning and end, sandwiching a healthy dose of mystery and intrigue in between. Unusual, bot not in a bad way at all. I enjoyed reading this. Take care, and as always thanks for sharing... =o)
