An Ode to Savour

An Ode to Savour

A Poem by carrotcruncher

Alluring, intoxicating, I need you to slake my thirst

Classical, curvaceous, the bodice into which you swell

Carbonated, surging, my heart distend to burst

Moisten, lingers, fragrant aromas that dwell

Effervescent, spirited, tempered fires keenly quenched

luxurious, seeping, exquisite arousing delicacy

sorrow, consciousness, transcend sensations subtlety drenched

Tranquil, drifting, intricate weaved strands of ecstasy

Most of my writing seems to be inspired by Cider, so with Cider as my muse an Ode was begging to be wrote. Although I could be playful with the descriptions of first pouring and then tasting I didn't find it much fun to write, too grandiose. This is why it is short for a traditional Ode. Maybe one day I will lengthen it but back to slapstick for me.
