Barrier.

Barrier.

A Poem by Carrion.

Scanning the text,
my heart jumped into my throat,
tears clawed at my eyelids,
and my stomach was uneasy,
ready to purge,
ready to scream,
i swear it was the worst thing
i've ever seen,
the day i found out you tried to kill yourself,
was the day i dropped to my knees,
you seemed so fine,
you seemed so happy,
why,
how,
could i be so blind?
my best friend was dying before my eyes,
and yet here i am
more homesick than ever,
trying to find a way to talk to you,
to tell you im sorry for not being there,
to tell you im sorry ive failed as a friend,
to tell you if i could
id take your pain away,
if i could id take it all i way,
i'd make you the happiest person ever,
cause i know that's what you deserve,
i wish you could see the beauty you really are,
and i fear that you wont,
and before i can tell you,
itll be too late,
i love you,
please don't go away.
