The Darkness

The Darkness

A Poem by carolh
"

A poem about depression.

"

Darkness shrouds me

Shrouds of darkness

Depression creeps

Like a thief in the night

Insidious

Creeping

A predator

Pull the sheet over my eyes

Over my body

I am not here

I am not there

Not anywhere

You have taken me again

Cruel thief

Till death do us part?

Who even knows?

Death where is thy sting?

Life, where is thy glory?

This is a fun read. It's very dramatic.
I don't like your description of depression, "Like a thief in the night". I'd like to see your own words.

Thanks for sharing. :)
