Fall Praise

Fall Praise

A Poem by Carol Channer

FALL PRAISE

The morning broke so crisp today,

A song blew through the air;

The birds all sang it gleefully . . .

Fall praise was everywhere!

My heart burst forth a joyous tune,

God’s fullness did abound;

Oh, thank You, Lord, for cool, sweet days

And autumn’s happy sound . . .

When hearts turn once again towards home

The souls of men yearn hard;

May the Holy Spirit weave in them

The tapestry of God!

Fall praise surrounds the countryside

With colors, sounds and smells;

From mountain steeples faintly come

Echoes of angel’s bells . . .

“All praise to Him, the Worthy Lamb!

All glory to the King!

Come magnify the Lord with us "

Fall praise to Him we sing!”
