Good Intentions to Bad Sketches

I wrote this limerick for a poetry writing class. I am satisfied with the poem, and I hope you find it funny.

I hoped to draw my lady, who’s fine and fair,

so we sat together in the cool autumn air

‘til my straying pencil

forms a new girl with such skill

my lady shouts “With who are you having an affair!”
