Daddy

Daddy

A Poem by Carlo

Daddy..why can't you see the sad depressed little boy with both of your eye's?

Why can't you see that my heart is screaming out your name almost like you died?

My eye's, heart, tears, and soul go unaswered each and every day

I try to let you in my heart, but you constantly push me away

Not physically, but mentally...with you're cold hearted bashings

The words are starting to sting like you gave me a hard lashing

You can see the tears I shed

But still you keep talking...have you just lost your head?

You say you love me with all of your heart

Then why daddy, why do you tear me apart?

I want it to go back to the old days

Where I would jump into your lap only wanting to play

Or when we'd go fishing every weekend on that big white boat

I guess I can wave goodbye to those memories and BAAAHH like a goat

The old father i once knew died long ago

Hopefully one day he'll come back and never have to go.

The duty of a parent is hard. Children need attention. Poem is very good. Well written. I could feel the sadness and need in the poem. You wrote a excellent poem.
