Summer Solstice

Summer Solstice

A Poem by som

I open my eyes.

I feel such strange breeze.

On this moonless night,

I lay my back on the sand.

This slothful pleasure I get

Scrutinizing the stars;

Some of them are fireflies,

Floating elegantly;

Even the leaves,

As smooth as the eye could see.

The waves’ current whispers.

Goosebumps and shivers.

Something I revere.

Tomorrow would be happy to occur.

How could a short night be so splendid

Yet so uncomplicated.

I live for a moment.

I wonder if this will cease.

How enthusiastic it is for me,

For an adventure like this.
