Sweet Sixteen

Sweet Sixteen

A Poem by whimzygirl

Sweet Sixteen

Among the presents and cake

She sits all alone

Waiting to feel the magical age

She looks up and sees

Him looking down at her

He holds out his hand

Chifon rustles as she twirls

She's lost in a dream

Excitement fills the air

First kiss she feels

On her magical age

She's sweet sixteen

This night will never come again

She basks in the glow

Of teenage fireworks
