Little Vampires

Little Vampires

A Poem by Cari Lynn Vaughn

Little Vampires

Oh you tiny little vampire

How I loath and abhor thee

And wish you’d soon expire

But you continue to prey on me

You creep into my quiet bed

Deep in the darkened night

Hungering to be forever fed

Still, you keep out of my sight

I awake completely unaware

Until I see all your bitter bites

Oh how terrible and utterly unfair

Helpless against these mini fights

You steal my blood     you thug

My little vampire    the bed bug
