Children of the Swan

Children of the Swan

A Poem by Cari Lynn Vaughn
"

Cosmic rays and children change us

"

Children of the Swan

Radiating from the Cygna the children go

Beams and waves of light in our lives

Coming from the great Cosmic Mother

Our love they will surely reflect and show

Cygnets oh how they accelerate

Our beloved children    Our Fate

Their powerful particles reach underground

Deep within our darkest places   our hearts

Not a black hole      but a beautiful blazer

They change us for better or worse we found

Thank you for the wonderful review Vallerie. Now that you bring it up, I guess survive would seem apt, but it didn't pop into my head when I was composing it. I was just struck by a passage in a book about cosmic rays and it just flowed once I finally sat down to write something.

Oh Cari,
The lines..."Cygnets oh how they accelerate
Our beloved children Our Fate"
Fate of the Pen/the woman. Those words stand out for me. Watch the growth, taking flight overnight it seems. Strong. Sensitive. Mystical. Musical. Warming. The play between light and dark. Good one. I wanted to read the word survive in this I feel it but could not see it...did you intend for it to be that way?
I enjoyed this read.
