Wounded

Wounded

A Poem by Cari Lynn Vaughn
"

Not all wounds heal in time

"

Wounded

A knife to her heart

A bullet to the brain

A life ripped apart

A woman gone insane

Though she may live

By some miracle divine

She cannot forgive

She cannot again shine

They say all wounds heal

In time    they lie

Age may well conceal

The scar until you die

The past will never be

Erased   cannot be undone

Rarely would you ever see

A true change in anyone
