Drifting

Drifting

A Poem by Cari Lynn Vaughn
"

Drifting Through Life

"

   Drifting

                                Abandoned by the world

                                     Chasing something

                                     I’ll never find      Outside

going around   In between and Along

Oh how I know it is wrong

I  Ran     Fled    or     Flew

As far as my chains

would let me I all my strains

Alone in the world blue

                                      Swimming circles    Treading

     Burning bridges too

                     Until I am heading

                              As far away from myself

                                         As I am you
