Caught A Virus of Lies

Infection

The infection invades the interior of my heart

The gangrenous goo oozing from my wound

The virus of lies duplicating and replicating

Spreading throughout my body and my psyche

The pain festers without the antibiotic of truth

to cover, protect and heal the hurt of hearing

Hearing the harmful words that attack and destroy

It makes me feverish, weak and ill

to think you no longer love me still
