Valentines Victim

Valentines Victim

On the 14th of February every year

Lovers exchange gifts

And I drink a beer

Then think of facelifts

While friends kiss and hold

My stomach turns

Maybe it is just a cold

Or maybe it is jealousy that burns

Cupid shot me all right

Now the neighbor’s dog won’t go home

At his mouth do I see foam?

God save me

I am a valentine’s victim you see
