A perfect emotional disaster

Perfect Storm

 

                                               It is the Butterfly Effect of Emotion

Some call it a synchronistic synergy

      The Perfect Storm in an internal ocean

              All of the issues tucked away completely

 

Everybody hurts once heard on the radio

Everyone weathers the heartaches and

                                The heart breaks

A horrible hurricane of hurt we all know

 

But how many have survived their own

          Halloween Nor’easter relationship wreck

A terrible torrent of pain set the tone

             A tidal wave of isolation floods the deck

 

The hurricane of marital discord

 and disgrace

                                             Is absorbed by a lack of compassion

                                             It is overwhelmingly cold in this place

                                             Damned for a desire of just a little passion

 

             Three friendships come completely

                             undone

               A marriage takes the brunt of the blow

                                                 When a lover takes his show on the run

                                                         And leaves his childhood friend

                                 with nothing to show

 

                        Lies threaten to sink the soggy soul

            Davy Jones is calling to this crew of one

                                          Whose lost complete and utter control

                                          Used and abused now she has no one

                                   

Too much pressure to handle this low

This chance combination too intense

   Sinking into the underworld below

               Thinking only that there was no way

                                                          to really know

 

Sailing into the storm she never expected

That she’d be mistreated and disrespected
