Blue Lobster

Blue Lobster

A Poem by Cari Lynn Vaughn
"

Reluctance to fall in love

"

A singular salty sensation

Newsworthy when neatly netted

Unusual in understanding so completely

Fighting off the other rock and red

Claws swinging and pinching wildly

Blue protects all that goes on in her head

Peculiar in hue and mood

She is often reclusive and reluctant

Cool in avoiding being your food

Suddenly caught by your intention

Blue begins a new ardent adventure

Fascinated by this life of contention
