Ink and AirA Poem by Cari Lynn Vaughn
Ink and Air The kiss is soft, slow and savory You teach me to take my time You force me to show my bravery Learning about rhythm and rhyme The language of love it overflows And the love of language it shows Transformed by the knowledge Our dreams then our endless college By and by, I ache and hunger for more Left wanting in an ocean of poetry The salty taste of lips that I adore That desire I must accept completely For this this impossibly lovely kiss Exists in a world made of ink and air I feel such manic mayhem in this bliss Praying not too much that I dare share Worshipping too much in your gift Realizing it is my love that must lift Still, you tenderly touch my ecstasy Allowing me to give The world my energy © 2009 Cari Lynn VaughnReviews
