Drifting

Drifting

A Poem by Cari Lynn Vaughn

Abandoned By The World

Drifting

Abandoned by the world

Chasing something

I’ll never find Outside

Going around In between and along

Oh how I know it is wrong

I Ran Fled or Flew

As far as my chains

would let me I all my strains
Alone in the world blue

Swimming circles Treading

Burning bridges too

Until I am heading

As far away from myself

As I am you

Running away from something that is inevitable to later having to deal with...what a theme! And to have portrayed that as smooth as that roller-coaster of a thought process is, is an accomplishment. Thanks for the read
