Aaron and Ji Yeon left and went to his Mom's place. Claire welcomed Ji Yeon warmly and tried to make her feel at home. They ate dinner that his Mom prepared and watched some television. Aaron wanted to watch reruns of Expose but his mother insisted he change the channel, so they ended up watching a romantic comedy instead.

In the years since she'd returned, his mother had suffered from depression and didn't get out much. She took comfort in cups of tea and good books for the most part. She also had particular TV shows she watched and particular shows she couldn't watch. Hawaii 5-O was one that reminded her too much of the past. It wasn't easy growing up with her, but Aaron knew she loved him dearly.

It had taken her years to start dating again. Aaron had set her up with his friend's Dad and then when that didn't work out, he created an online dating profile for her. Eventually, she met a man name David at a record store and they started dating. David ran the record store as it turned out and knew a lot about music. He was the one who had introduced Aaron to Drive Shaft, Geronimo Jackson and many others.

“Will you tell me more about Charlie sometime?” Aaron asked before they left.
“He'd be proud of you,” she smiled.

“I know,” he said. “But you never tell me anything more than that. He was a musician is all you ever say.”

“Because there isn't much to tell sweetie,” she said with a sigh. “He and I met on the island and played house for awhile. Honestly, never knew a whole lot about him and what I did know, I've forgotten over the years. Perhaps you should call his brother Liam and ask him about Charlie.”

“Perhaps I will,” Aaron said giving his mom a hug and kiss on the cheek. “See you later.”

“Later,” she said as Aaron and Ji Yeon left. “It was nice to meet you Ji Yeon.”
“You too,” Ji Yeon said as she stepped onto the porch.

Aaron finally took Ji Yeon to her hotel. They hugged and Aaron promised to pick her up first thing in the morning. He drove a short way to his dorm at UCLA and crashed. He tossed and turned, unable to sleep though. Aaron threw the covers off and got up at midnight. He sat at his desk and opened a notebook. He flipped to a back page and started jotting down the information bouncing around in his head.

People To Talk To

Liam Pace
Desmond and Penny Hume

He thought for a few moments and added Hurley to the list and then crossed him off. He wanted to talk to Hurley, but he doubted he'd be so lucky as to actually find Hurley. He scribbled a circle and some dots below the list and then wrote Ocean Six. Below it he wrote:

Sun Kwon (Dead)
Sayid Jarrah (Dead)
Hurley Reyes (Island)
Jack Shepherd (Dead)
Kate Austen (LA)
Aaron Austen Littleton (LA)
James Ford (3yrs later LA)

Aaron remembered several other names that had been mentioned by Kate and James. They'd mentioned Widmore and a man named Ben . But he didn't know Widmore's first name or Ben's last name. He noted them under a question mark heading. Aaron sighed and closed his eyes for a few moments. His roommate snored and turned over as he opened his eyes and tried to remember other names. James had mentioned a woman named Julie that he'd been with before Kate. Kate had mentioned a man named Locke. They'd both mentioned a deceased man named Jacob, but Aaron knew there would be nothing on Jacob on the internet.

Thinking of the internet, he grabbed his laptop and turned it on. He booted up and got online. He typed in Ocean Six and read some articles about them. He also researched Paik Industries and The Widmore Corporation. He found that Desmond and Penny had a son named Charlie and then he found Charlie's info and emailed him. He looked up Liam and found that Liam and Karen had a girl named Megan that was just a couple years older than him. He emailed Megan as well.

Then he found a complete manifest from the original Oceanic Flight 815. He printed out a copy of the manifest and then finally shut his computer off at about 2am. He crawled back into bed and fell asleep finally. He slept soundly until his roommate woke him up at 9am. Julian Carson was a med student who hadn't found housing off campus just yet. Aaron wasn't sure how he managed to keep living in the dorm despite the fact he was supposed to have been out the year before. He guessed his very intelligent roommate had found some sort of loophole that he wasn't aware of.

“Dude, what are you doing?” Aaron asked when he heard a loud crash.

“Sorry man, I was just trying to get my books off my dresser and my medical instruments fell into the trashcan beside it.”

“How can a future surgeon be such a klutz!” Aaron said as he sat up in bed.
“I am brilliant with a scalpel though.”

“Have you even picked up a scalpel? I thought first year med students did nothing but read and take tests.”

“Well, I got an internship at Mittlewerk Bio-science this past summer and I got to do some autopsies and experiments. My Mom says I take after my Aunt Juliet. She was a fertility doctor.”

Remembering the name Juliet, Aaron asked, “What was Juliet's last name?”

“It wasn't Carson,” Julian said. “No, it was Burke I think. She died before I was born though.”

“Interesting,” Aaron said as he threw the covers off and swung his legs over the bed.

“Well, its off to class,” Julian said throwing his books in his backpack and zipping it up. “We are studying Neuroscience and Spinal Surgeries today!”

“Have fun,” Aaron said as he started toward his desk. He picked up his pen and added Julian Carson and Juliet Burke to his list as Julian shuffled out the door and slammed it shut behind me. Aaron got dressed and texted Ji Yeon before heading over to her hotel.
