Beautiful DesolationA Poem by Cari Lynn VaughnDeath and Destruction can be Beautiful!Beautiful Desolation
A life laid to waste by violence and war Sinking into sadness into soft black sand Stung by the bitter snow forever more How could you ever possibly understand? Being destroyed and left alone There is a peculiar beauty in death For out of my endless depth and wide breadth Comes a sense of utter unknown Because anything could happen here Withered, wind swept and wild This peril It makes life all the more dear Where tragedy and Triumph are Reconciled © 2013 Cari Lynn Vaughn |
