The Secret

Kay, so, this is an unfinished work. I don't want to finish it, but I like what I have so I'm sharing. xP

There is a secret

Locked deep inside of me,

Buried away for no one to see.

I keep it hidden there,

Hoping it will one day disappear,

And cease to haunt me.

But it remains there,

Tainting my heart,

And polluting my soul.

I must tell you,

And rid myself of this darkness;

Become pure,

Fill myself with the light,

So I may be worthy of your love.

I cannot suppress this any longer,

For if I bear a secret,

I bear a lie.

But how do I reveal the truth

Without hurting you?

I fear to wound your precious heart,

For it is the object of my love.
