God Made A Woman's Heart

God Made A Woman's Heart

A Poem by Sunny

she lived sleepless nights and tear filled days
thats what i want etched on the tombstone that will sit upon my grave
the heart of a woman is constantly breaking
that's why God made it so he can easily make it whole again
i'm telling you my friend love can drive the strongest of us insane
and even send some of us to our graves
but not me cause
you see i have a plan
yea i'm take the next man that i'ma "so-call- love" and dog him out before he can even think about doing it to me
yea i'ma make him love me, while i treat him worse than any man has ever treated me
and then when the time comes and he's had enough
to where i come home one day to find all his stuff packed nice and neat at the door
and i sink down to the floor because i can't stop him from leaving
i'll realize what a good man i've lost
you see as much as we might want to strike vengeance on those who've done us wrong
we can't do wrong to others because we'll miss out on their goodness and their warmth
their love and their passion
so even though i'm a woman and God gave me a heart that constantly breaks
i remember he made this breakable heart in such a fashion that he can fix it easily
so damnit etch on my tombstone that will sit on my grave
"she lived sleepless nights and tear filled days"
just don't forget to add
"but through it all she never stopped loving"
