Okay

Okay

A Poem by cara

F**k I love this town
I'm having a Lady Bird moment except I don't drive
I was sitting on a really high up bus looking at the second floor of the buildings i've known for nine years
But never the top windows

I want to be enlightened
I want to not be shallow
But living in that ugly town
With so many students
I say students you think drinking
Which is, if everything is as hereditary as it's been so far
Not something I can do

If I can grow up around no real violence
And end up hitting people
I can take the road far too travelled
And end up as Charles Bukowski,
When I want to be Oscar Wilde

'Cause you really do picture that f****t
Sitting in a Gothic pink castle,
Snooty but too slay for it to be annoying
I can't imagine an Irish man going to the ball,
but there's an exception for everything

So to conclude,
I like the aesthetics
I like that I get to call this Christmas card town a home
And that there will always be a place for me here
Whether it be with Aoibhe or with Colman or my parents.
Things really are turning out okay.
