Self-Conscious

Self-Conscious

A Poem by cara

One thing I'll get over
It's this
I'll tell you one thing that I won't
But it might make you self conscious
I'm tired of faking sick
I have to see my landlord
Just to leave the red bricks

And I will
Try to make it feel better
'Cause if I'm down
How high
Can I lift you off the ground
I'll try to lie until
It's so engrained
That it may
As well be true

And it could be for you

How many hangovers
Can I have in just one month
How many men does it take
To change a solar bulb
And how much sunshine does it
Take to change a man
He's not too bright so
Baby, I'll try to change him if I can
