silent thoughts

I let myself ramble and this is what came out.

walk two moons
in someone's shoes
never a word
but have you never heard
"there is beauty in silence"
right next to the pain of being silent
they say the brightest smile
hides the saddest tears
we don't see it while
we walk through the years
maybe we never know
maybe we never know
how being broken feels
we pretend we're made of steel
stare into a glassy lake
remember glass will break
break silence without touching a thing
why won't you say something
