you know we
hate to see you crying
but what I hate more
is seeing you suffocate

don't you know that
"I have to be strong"
doesn't mean "I can't cry"
why can't you let yourself weep?

if you need, I'll be right here
I've got a shoulder that's
perfect to cry on

even if you're crying

I'll always be here
through the darkest days
and the lonely moments
like you're here for me
every time I cry

you should never have to cry
you should never be hurt at all
but Mom, all I can say is
