winterA Poem by Anonymous 792nd installment in a series of poem (previous is "autumn")bare branches and indifferent wind where should I even begin you left me, abandoned me, and then you came back, begged me to let you in one year turned to two turned to five an endless winter, I was frozen alive you came back like birds in the spring but you came back different, I didn't know what to think bare branches and an indifferent wind I gave you the note because I couldn't let you back in I had given you my heart, your absence tore it apart and seeing you like that took me someplace lonely and dark I walked by because it hurt to stop it hurt so much that I couldn't talk I realized then how much you want to me lonely winters blinded me, but now I can see bare branches and an indifferent wind I'm begging you to take me back, let me in but goodbye broke your heart the door's long since closed, now, I'm freezing in the dark
