Distant

I took the structure from another poem I wrote and a thought snippet I came up with on Monday to make... this.

it's hard to feel close when you feel so distant we talk on the phone but it doesn't make a difference I still feel so alone do you feel the same? trapped in your home far away from my cage I can't stay away I don't like living this way far apart because it's safe it's driving everyone insane leave the house for a minute then you're trapped right back in it being outside has a time limit I don't see how loneliness has benefits it's hard to feel close when you feel so distant we talk on the phone but it doesn't make a difference I still feel so alone do you feel the same? trapped in your home far away from my cage will you come over? or do you have to stay home I'm really getting tired of always talking on the phone maybe it's just me, everybody else seems fine I'll try to deal with this insanity make sure my problems stay mine it's hard to feel close when you feel so distant we talk on the phone but it doesn't make a difference I still feel so alone do you feel the same? trapped in your home far away from my cage
