Stars

Just something that came to mind the other day.

On the road home, Nighttime You pull in the drive Open the car door You're about to go inside It's chilly and you haven't been home all day But then you look up And it's like your feet are glued in place Staring at the night sky Mesmerized It takes your breath away The stars spill across the night sky It's a sight for sore eyes After so long because for the longest time The clouds covered up the night sky Made it feel so empty But now those clouds are gone And you're standing by your car Car door wide open Your eyes wide open Staring at the stars
