Insanity, the Mind

Insanity, the Mind

A Poem by Pseudonym Mindless
"

Just a small late night work, neither groomed nor edited. Straight from my mind.

"
Insanity is the mind,
Growing and thinking beyond words,
Beyond emotions, feelings.
Beyond tangible.
Knowing real, but real is nonexistent.
It floats above the head,
A shadow that remains in the night,
Eyes that cannot see yet know all.
It beckons.
Neither is it imagination, nor creativity.
Offering?
Greatness. Knowledge beyond the world.
Speaking without words,
Understanding without fact,
Grasping the intangible.
Payment?
Unknown. Darkness, silence, nothing.
Loneliness, unable to share truth,
Words without meaning strung carefully together,
Adopting pseudonym mindless.

Insanity is the mind,
Beautiful, dangerous, bounty of pirates,
Beyond gold, treasures.
Beyond tangible.

I'm taking any criticism you would like to throw at me. I've never taken any creative writing classes and am disappointed by the lack of true, unbridled creative writing in high school classrooms.

This is beautiful, powerful and dark! Kind of reminds me of the darknes Emily Dickenson achieves in some of her poems, or what Emily Brontë does too, but in prose (I know she also wrote poetry, but I have never read her poetry).
I suggest reading those two if you haven't, and probably also Sylvia Plath, Anaïs Nin and Ann Sexton.
Your writing is unique and extremely great! Or at leats it is on this poem. Plase keep writing, because this is such an important poem.
I specially liked this part:
Greatness. Knowledge beyond the world.
Speaking without words,
Understanding without fact,
Grasping the intangible.
