Autumn Thoughts

Autumn Thoughts

A Poem by AO_Fulcrum

tapping into my soul

just to read my empty scroll

because nothing else lives in me

but the road of swinging memory

back and forth it goes

to move me where it flows

listening in so deep

where bones crawl to a creep

singing melodies to cope

the floorless sounds of hope

beyond this i do not see

not until my body is set free

expanding densely within the sphere

to touch and feel what i most fear

what reality is to my senses

is my callous heart’s tinted lenses

trap though i may be

boxed and cornered like a rooted tree

stillness through i may find

the key to unlock my mindless mind

high they say the priestess is

but blind they are to know her silent hiss

the darkest shadows, the lightest bright

walking in the middle of her weighted flight

desire she longs to be understood

but only wishes they knew they could

because her eyes only sees her steps

the tracks that is hidden within her lips

garden she tends to grow her fruits

only to be bitten and scoured from its roots

breaks and pain, she cries in rivers

but rushes currents that cleanses sinners

‘volunteering’ sounds more noble

than to be the cause for all that is trouble

“i mean no harm” she murmurs

that is why the heart is slightly left of her breathers

lighten the depths with her compassion

but only to be perceived by others from her action

i release the desire to control

because i have no intention to claim your soul
