This poem is related to the current situation of the corona virus pandemic. It discusses people's emotions, facts and different interpretations.
Happiness has never been chased by so many,
Death in millions has always been uncanny.
Some say it's a conspiracy,
But feels like hell just became reality.
A calamity that only destroys mankind,
Death that leaves nothing behind.
Day and night feel timeless
Forever longing loved ones closeness.
The night skies reflect burning flame,
Innumerable pyres, who's to be blamed?
We pray to see the end of this insanity
Love and faith bestowed in humanity.
I'm not well-versed in poetry, so my critique probably won't hold much weight, but I feel the poem can apply to more than just the recent pandemic, such as a previous war.
That being said, I really like this section in particular:
"The night skies reflect burning flame,
Innumerable pyres, who's to be blamed?"
Those lines are gold.
