Shattered Heart

a poem for all the guys that have ever broken a girl's heart and to the girl that realized she's stronger then she thinks.

We had history there was is no use denying

We exchanged words

We exchanged thoughts and feelings

When you hurt me, I went crying to my friends

Then the next day you would be there begging for forgiveness

Boy I'm sorry I forgave you once to many

You kept breaking my heart over and over

Until you finally let me free

Then I went off to the next guy I could find

And the cycle repeated

I am caught in the cycle once again

But this time it will be different

I've learned from my mistakes

This time I'm the one in control

Not the one being controlled

When I see you again you'll see me with a new guy

Of course you will, you broke me so hard that I'm fragile

And need a guy to support me

But one day I will be strong again

Then I'll get even

You wait and see

You bragged to your friends about how I was yours

Told them we did things that we've never done before

I slapped you once

You hit me twice

I went home crying three times harder then usual

You showed up the next day with 4 red roses

Then five days later you dumped me

I cried for days

Like I had before

But then I saw the night

You weren't right for me

I will be strong again someday

You wait and see

Maybe then you'll want me again

To bad you won't get me

Because from now on I'm the one in control

Not the one being controlled
