Give me a break

Give me a break

A Poem by Ama May Cooper

Eventually my shoulders grow heavy from the burdens
They whiver and shake
Like the decaying roots of the old great oak tree

Eventually the bullets pierce my armour
It crumbles away like mere clay
In the oceans unrelenting assult

Before long I am beaten
Tainted black and Blue
I lay my body cold
Breathe making a shadowy escape

Before long I weep
Crying out for a merciful god
To end the wars that rage on for centuries

Finally I am silenced
My cries are heard no more
The very blood in my veins runs cold

Finally my boat has sunk
Beneath the silent waves
Spared atleast in an endless peaceful gaze.

at first it didn't much bother me about the black and the blue colors but as i look at it long enough it quite hurt my eyes. anyways the poem is good. i like how you manage the use of images which is great
