Endless eternity

Endless eternity

A Poem by Ama May Cooper

thoughtless, empty
but so awake
so alive
burning with un-used emotion
spilling endlessly outwards
early morning dawning
no sleep
no escape
no rest for the wicked mind
the silent screaming
bellowing
echoing emptiness
alone at midnight
clock counting hours
counting minutes
till sunrise
eyes open
restless
unsettled
forever waiting for safety
an uneasy sleep
for scattered seconds
constantly awake
insanity
brimming at the edges
consuming time
floating in nothing
in morning light
empty thoughts
with no form
awake and restless for eternity

What sort of scares me, is this is like a scene from a hospital room with a person in a coma. At least that is what I took away with it and the visuals you create for the reader with the word structure is nice and brutal.

love it.
