A Chapter by Ama May Cooper
"

A short somewhat worryingly morbid poem, written when i was about 6

"
Flowing like a river
Trickling like a stream
Charging like the sea
Beginning with no mean

A thread waiting to be cut
A tapestry unwinding
A ball of wool knitting
Flowing with no mean

A heart frozen in time
A dream drifting away
A hologram disappearing
ending with no mean

Wow the things a 6 year old can think of!

It makes the poem mean so much and feel so terrifying to read to know that it was first drafted at such a young age, I don't even remember life when I was 6 and I'm pretty sure I didn't think of the flow of life the way you did.

Wonderful Piece
