Litter bugs me

Litter bugs me

A Poem by Ama May Cooper
"

I wrote this when i was 8 years old, so dont expect any great meaning or amazing language, its about the enviroment its filled with playful rhyme's just let me kno realy

"

Hey you, dropping litter

You make me feel bitter

You're chocking the seas

And chopping down tree's

Animals run from the heat of the sun

tigers disappearing, for them its no fun

Your exhaust fumes are strong

it makes such a pong

the world will not go on like this for to long

the ozone hole's opening

we've given up hoping

piles of tin cans

penguins with sun tans

everything's burning, you stop the world turning

hey you eating junk

you wasteful punk

you eat up a chunk of the land with your gunk

as you are boasting

the sun is just roasting

I am amazed that you had this much talent at the age of 8. This poem is very good and very well constructed. It has so much meaning behind it. And for you to have such care for the world condition at that age says a lot about you. I thought the poem was excellent.

I can see why 'Penguins with tans' stuck with you for that long. There's nothing there that should be fixed, it's the work of a younger you. I try to remember something creative I might have done when I was 8 and all I can remember is a drawing of a guy with a big giant red apple head. Spindly little body supporting the massive thing.
