Morning routines

Morning routines

A Poem by Ama May Cooper
"

Yes lol if you didnt get from that i suffer from ocd, but i thought id make a playful little poem out of it

"

Everything belongs somewhere

everything needs a place

each centremeter planned beforehand

button holes and boot laces

folded tighted correctly

belts lined right from left

dark to light

t-shirts colour coded

nothing can be anywhere

nothing just placed

everything in its order

teddys slanted height controlled

door 90% angle

bed is made before i leave it

nothing can be out of place

everything must be perfect

uniform is laid out ready ironed

folded placed

get up

two steps no more no less

touch your toes

keep walking now

side ways thru the door

even numbered pacing to the bathroom

first turn the light on 2 times

no odd numbers never

everything even

in its place correcly

6 steps forward, last one longer

left hand on sink

brush with right hand, flannel to

then step back to steps , two steps more

forward two then get clothes of rack

out the door back down the hall

sideways thru the door

everythign is ordered correctly placed

dont touch

walk over to the tv

tap the side 4 times

button on now sit down

careful not to crease the bed

hold controller straight and press 28,

then press down on the controller

done ready for the day

roll over twice little roles

computer on

and say hey.

I love this poem! It exemplifies the essence of orginization in theme and form. Thanks for being obsessively compusive with your creativity! Great work.

My case isn't this bad, but I do have a feeling of this poem. Great job.

Nicely written.. catches the ordinary routines and the rhythm and flow take us along with it well... It's good to celebrate the ordinary... and to smile at it in a dry kind of way too...
