Locked doors

Locked doors

A Poem by Ama May Cooper
"

We live in a highly corrupt world, where now politcal correctness has become ridculus , rules , farfetched where living in an out door prison

"

Follow the rules

keep quiet

dont walk on the grass

you cant say that

black board, white board

no no chalk board

live in prison

walking free

wheres the freedom?

locked by ideas

rules and regulations

listen listen

no dont , dont

not sociably acceptable

wait for id

id tags

like jail tags

easy location

beeping radars

dont leave without your id tags

your finger print

your id

no entry

who are you?

unauthorised personal

in own back garden

my house

your rules

dont watch that show

not socially acceptable

but i like it

cant

they'll be at the door

tell me what to think

to do

subliminal message

subliminal laws

cant shake them

Dont try

behind bars

invisible bars

bars of humanity

let me free

let me be me

no , to much imagination

dreams, thoughts, hopes

crush them

robotize

manipulate and trick them

lock those that disobey

crush those protest

break the signs

not right

illegal

illegal to breathe now

illegal to live

just robotise

march in time to the media beat

eat it up

belive it

just follow

put the bag on your head and follow blind

let yourself die inside

dosent matter

nolonger indavdual

get your id tag

strap it on

your one of us now

follow the leader

the corrupt leader

I absolutely love this! It is so true in todays society. The world is corrupt and substandard. SIgn of the times! This piece was consistent and very original. Well done!

Let me just say, I love this poem. It shows how the government is truly. I can sense the strong feelings behind each word. The way you setup the poem also has much impact on how it affects the reader. The repeated words add emphasize where it needs to be, and the short lines make it so simple. It's like there's nothing simple about the injustice, but something so very simple in how it can make someone feel. Sorry for going on, great poem.
