"tearing and ripping it". This is quite an emotive way to express the damage, which is enough to break a woman's heart. The title is suitable, as "Paper Heart", represents the fragility of a woman's love, or her vulnerability. Obviously, the writer may have intended this title, to have both meanings?
In some ways, this poem is filled with animosity and angst. It also serves as a warning, perhaps, for any man who might try to take advantage, of a fragile heart? Interestingly, despite a lover having played "so many games" with her love, the writer still desires his affection. What do the rest of you think about that, I wonder? Clearly, this is also a dark poem. An example of "dark poetry", perhaps? At least, in certain aspects.
Whatever your point of view, this piece speaks volumes, about the various cruel tortures, which can be inflicted on a woman's heart. Thankyou, Cappi....
I can't say I know how that feels in your exact situation but I do know how it feels to lose hold of the one you love so much. Paper Heart is a perfect name for this, because hearts do tear so easily. I love the way this flowed and rhymed, the way you expressed your hurt. This was really good, I loved it! :]
The 'paper heart' image create a good sense of the fragilty of your emotions and the feeling of being used. A good piece of writing - makes us feel the pain of it all...
So sad. I can't even imagine this. Hope everything is ok. I love the titled and that's what got me to read it and the poem was REALLY good! Great writing! :)
