Night spirits

Night spirits

A Poem by Ama May Cooper
"

I was sitting on my window lege when i wrote this... the darkness comferting to my tears

"

Look out into the night sky

feel the spirts dance

letting them web there saftey net

nothign more than little cells

smaller than the dreams

tiny particlas of matter

sewing and repairing all the tears

look out into that endless darkness

and tell me dont you see

those little spirits gliding round

there arms a hug of warm retreat

whispering in your ears

those tender lights that dance past eyes

faster than your vision

those are the night spirits that dance

wiser than the oldest man

and faster than the eagles

look out into those deep black abiss

and tell me you dont see

the genious that weaves the world

the cracks within the walls

that hold the sky together there

the tender little fairy wings

made of chunks of empty matter

look out look out there there for you

a handy safety net

to hug you you after a hard day

and soothe you fast to sleep

Look out your window quickly now

because as the day begins to break

they drift away to hide away

the sun will melt there work

so quickly now so quickly

hold there tender hands and let them kno

you kno there there for just this darkness hour

the spirts of matter and darkness lie

a saftey net  to our silent pain

Intriguing piece...
a safety net of matter and darkness to catch pain.....

Comfort can come more easily ...when all is nuch quieter...no hustle and bustle...
all the day to day distractions cloaked by darkness

Although I'd much rather you wouldn't actually "sit" on your window ledge to write ...day or night

Blesssssssss

Not really a poem, in terms of most structural perspectives. However, it does raise the interesting concept of the darkness, and related themes. Curiously, some people (including Cappi) actually find some degree of comfort in the darkness. On the otherhand, do some of these same people, really use it to hide behind? I don't mean to suggest, that there is ncecessarily anything wrong with that. Just a thought.

Overall, the imagary and symbplism is quite good, not nothing particularly special? Either way, it was interesting to read. Sometimes, a piece of writing can reflect certain aspects of the writer's personaility, even more than he/she realises. Thanks, Cappi! Another insightful piece of writing, and a welcome addition to my Group, "Twilight's Disciples"!
